A colleague's tribute for me in my funeral in 2020

Year 2020:

A colleague's tribute for me in my funeral:

Nayeem.  As his colleague and well-wisher, I had the opportunity to witness how he evolved as a person in his career from one position to the next and how he lit up our lives with his charismatic presence.  In terms of dealing with people, he had the extraordinary ability to mingle with clients and colleagues from all the social classes and easily relate to them.  Does that means he lacked a sense of direction when it came to selecting whom to hang around with?  Certainly not.  He had a clear sense of direction and what he wanted to do with his life.  As far as I can remember, he made "giving voice to those who don't have a voice" his life's vision.  Some people enjoy building relationships just for the sake it, the shotgun social networkers we call them !  I think our Nayeem was a strategic networker - he built his relationships with industry colleagues who were in the same boat as him - soft skills, public speaking, persuasive writing, hypnosis, telekinesis, remote viewing, ESP, parapsychology, international development, social reformations and etc.  Does that make him a narrow-minded person now?  Not at all, I think, the fact that he never tried to act like someone he was not and become friends with anyone and everyone was a proof of his self-acceptance and integrity.  He was introverted but certainly not shy.  He always stood out from us because of his spark and the ideas he carried around with him.  Truly, he had his own bonsai traps of character.  He was moody, fiercely independent, eccentric, always wanted to go off-the-beaten-up, self-isolating, and at some times aloof.  But he always wanted to improve himself and that's one of the points where he differed from the other colleagues.  He would use his patience and caring character to listen to our negative feedback.  Sometimes,we would have differences and needed to maintain power distance.  He was excellent and making us feel comfortable without being judgmental.  Nayeem was like water, maybe he used Bruce Lee's advice of Jeet Kune Do !

His jokes were not based on dark humour, rather on positive thinking and inspiring people.  He had an excellent sense of privacy and integrity for his colleagues.  We could trust him with our secrets and he'd never use those information to professionally attack us.  It was as if he was living life for a higher purpose.

In this way, I saw Nayeem develop his career right there in-front of my eyes from an entry-level executive in a third-world country to a legend in his profession.  He is a legend adolescent leadership education, an legendary public speaker and organiser of people in the field.  He was an NLP expert and his skills in telekinesis and remote viewing not only surprised us but also came into good use for many people.  As I give this speech on behalf of him now, he leaves his followers from many industries of work.

Humble, patient, kind, compassionate, open-minded, sharp and intelligent, really fast and efficient in using his social connections to execute his vision, that's Nayeem for you.
